Plum in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 2 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a cartomizer for plum
Plum in Nouméa reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.37 per 10 ml.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested plum in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does plum in a cartomizer last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
