Plain squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.44 per 10 ml.
Plain in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: plain in Nouméa works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Plain squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plain in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised XPF31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.44 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.44 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
