Plain prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Plain in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good prefilled pod from a repack
Plain prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plain in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is plain legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How long does plain in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 5 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
