Plain prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Plain in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a prefilled pod for plain
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.75 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at plain in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on plain: 21 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plain in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised XPF36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.75 per 10 ml.

In Nouméa we measured 9 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
