Plain 10 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Plain in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 3 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on plain: 20 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a 10 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, 10 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain 10 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on plain: 20 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plain in a 10 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for 10 ml bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 10 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for plain in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 10 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.54 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is plain legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
