Pear pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Pear in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the pear habit
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.76 per 10 ml.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear pod kit really costs in Nouméa
A pear pod kit from the starter options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.76 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where pear goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
