Where buyers go wrong with pear in New Caledonia
We run pear the same way in Nouméa: same 60 ml bottle, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A pear 60 ml bottle from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.62 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, 60 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a pear 60 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Pear in Nouméa reaches the shelf in 60 ml bottle formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested pear in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where pear goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 60 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How long does pear in a 60 ml bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is pear legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
