Mint starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Mint in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
We run mint the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested mint in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where mint goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing mint with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does mint in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
