Mint in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mint habit
We run mint the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A mint squonk mod from the bulk options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.37 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a mint squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested mint in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where mint goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised XPF29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.37 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should mint start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Is mint legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
