Mint mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist
Mint in Nouméa: 17 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mint habit
Mint sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run mint the same way in Nouméa: same mesh tank, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: mint in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Mint in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested mint in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mint goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in Nouméa survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.

Frequently asked questions
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
How long does mint in a mesh tank last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should mint start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
