Mint mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Mint in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
The honest read on mint: 20 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run mint the same way in Nouméa: same mesh tank, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
A mint mesh tank from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.3 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in Nouméa survives.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is mint legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mint the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.3 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
