Melon pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What melon costs in Nouméa
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.02 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at melon in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: melon in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon pen device really costs in Nouméa
A melon pen device from the cheapest options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.02 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where melon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.02 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Nouméa survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
