Melon mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Melon in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What melon costs in Nouméa
A melon mesh tank from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.84 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.84 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Melon in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested melon in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where melon goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
