Lime starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist
Lime in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a starter kit for lime
A lime starter kit from the value options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.25 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Lime prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.25 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime starter kit really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested lime in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where lime goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing lime with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.25 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
