Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: licorice in Nouméa works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice refill pack really costs in Nouméa
Licorice refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested licorice in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.97 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should licorice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
How long does licorice in a refill pack last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
