Licorice pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Licorice in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for licorice
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Licorice pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice pod kit really costs in Nouméa
We run licorice the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested licorice in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.39 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in Nouméa survives.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How long does licorice in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.39 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
