Licorice in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What licorice costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at licorice in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A licorice pen device from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.27 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice pen device really costs in Nouméa
Licorice in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested licorice in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
