Licorice cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Licorice in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 3 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with licorice in New Caledonia
A licorice cartomizer from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.67 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Licorice in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: licorice in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Licorice in Nouméa reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested licorice in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
How long does licorice in a cartomizer last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
Is licorice legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
