The honest read on lemon: 21 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A lemon pen device from the discounted options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.18 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: lemon in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lemon pen device really costs in Nouméa
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.18 per 10 ml.
How we tested lemon in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lemon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.18 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing lemon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
