Choosing a mesh tank for iced
Iced in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you are looking at iced in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: iced in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested iced in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where iced goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.79 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.79 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF42 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
