Iced box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist
Iced in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a box mod for iced
Iced in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced box mod really costs in Nouméa
Iced in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested iced in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised XPF57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.69 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.69 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF57 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should iced start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
