Honey starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Honey in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
Honey sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: honey in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a honey starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Honey in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested honey in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where honey goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why honey tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing honey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.8 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF43 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does honey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the honey blend itself harsh.
