Herbal prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Herbal in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Herbal is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Herbal prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.25 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Herbal prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested herbal in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
