Grapey squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Grapey in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Grapey is allowed to say
We run grapey the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Grapey sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: grapey in Nouméa works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on grapey: 12 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested grapey in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every grapey bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.12 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.12 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does grapey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the grapey blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should grapey start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
