Grapey RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Grapey in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good RDA from a repack
We run grapey the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.67 per 10 ml.
The short version: grapey in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a grapey RDA really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on grapey: 8 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested grapey in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every grapey bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why grapey tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
