Frozen pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Frozen in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Frozen is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you are looking at frozen in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.79 per 10 ml.
How we tested frozen in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every frozen bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in Nouméa survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
How long does frozen in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 5 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.79 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF47 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
