Fig pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Fig in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the fig habit
The honest read on fig: 19 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Fig prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.79 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long fig tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a fig pen device really costs in Nouméa
Fig in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested fig in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a fig bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where fig goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised XPF60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.79 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.79 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On fig the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.79 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does fig taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the fig blend itself harsh.
