Dessert prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Dessert in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.84 per 10 ml.
Dessert sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long dessert tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a dessert prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Dessert in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested dessert in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.84 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.84 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF53 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
