Dessert pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Dessert in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Dessert sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run dessert the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: dessert in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on dessert: 9 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested dessert in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every dessert bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.44 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
