Dessert box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Dessert in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Dessert in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Dessert sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: dessert in Nouméa works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert box mod really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested dessert in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every dessert bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.96 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.96 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
