If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola starter kit really costs in Nouméa
A cola starter kit from the cheapest options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.38 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested cola in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where cola goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF44 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.38 per 10 ml.
