Citrus pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
Citrus in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on citrus: 14 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.

Frequently asked questions
How long does citrus in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 5 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.74 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
