Citrus 10 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Citrus in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
We run citrus the same way in Nouméa: same 10 ml bottle, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.48 per 10 ml.
The short version: citrus in Nouméa works if the 10 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus 10 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Citrus in Nouméa reaches the shelf in 10 ml bottle formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested citrus in a 10 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 10 ml bottle.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.48 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
