Cherry mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Cherry in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the cherry habit
Cherry mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: cherry in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cherry mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Cherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.89 per 10 ml.
How we tested cherry in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cherry bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing cherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should cherry start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
