Caramel in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 3 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What caramel costs in Nouméa
We run caramel the same way in Nouméa: same sub-ohm kit, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A caramel sub-ohm kit from the online options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.44 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a caramel sub-ohm kit really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at caramel in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the sub-ohm kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested caramel in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.44 per 10 ml.
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
