Caramel sub-ohm kit IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Caramel in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 2 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Caramel is allowed to say
If you are looking at caramel in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the sub-ohm kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a caramel sub-ohm kit really costs in Nouméa
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.28 per 10 ml.
How we tested caramel in a sub-ohm kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a sub-ohm kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.28 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF52 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
