Caramel pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Caramel in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for caramel
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Caramel pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: caramel in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.76 per 10 ml.
How we tested caramel in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.76 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On caramel the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.76 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
