Candy in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 6 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What candy costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Candy in a zero-nicotine bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: candy in Nouméa works if the zero-nicotine bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested candy in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where candy goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.24 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for candy in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.24 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should candy start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a zero-nicotine bottle.
