Candy starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Candy in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the candy habit
Candy in Nouméa reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run candy the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: candy in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Candy starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested candy in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where candy goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.15 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
