Candy starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Candy in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the candy habit
If you are looking at candy in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Candy in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a candy starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Candy starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested candy in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where candy goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.36 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for candy in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.36 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.36 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF28 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
