How to tell a good box mod from a repack
The honest read on candy: 22 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run candy the same way in Nouméa: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a candy box mod really costs in Nouméa

How we tested candy in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where candy goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long candy in Nouméa survives.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.82 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.82 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.82 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should candy start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
