Apple box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Apple in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the apple habit
The honest read on apple: 15 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.88 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple box mod really costs in Nouméa
Apple in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested apple in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where apple goes wrong
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
